We are in Nice

Sorry, still no photos! Lots to upload but cant seem to connect properly. Nerds.

France is so pretty, we are keen to go back to Paris and see more, but are trucking around with Paula's family for the next week, so will work our way back slowly.

In the last week we have seen so much, and even had time to eat snails. Not that great I'm afraid, thank god for the garlic paste they are coated in. Kind of like garlic chewing gum, I think Paula might have put it.

Driving on the right has been okay, just gotta remember first thing in the morning when I pull out onto the road - Paula has been reminding me and just as well.

Finally worked out how to switch the keyboard over to english, now if I can just prize each key off and force it back onto the correct spot this will all be fine....

Thanks for all your emails for Paula's birthday, we'll get off our butts and respond when we can get a terminal for long enough - think I might go and open an internet cafe!

We are in Paris!

Or Pqris, as this stinking french keyboqrd would hqve it!

We are having q greqt time, the campground is nice and close. Think we have found a place to upload some photos, so will do soon.

Yesterday we went to visit the tomb of Naploeon, which was very impressive indeed. Also we went to the gqrdens of Rodin, who amongst many other efforts sculpted the statue of The Thinker.

Thanks for all your emails and comments!

Scotland the Brave

We headed off from York yesterday and drove through some of the most spectacular countyside to end up in Edinburgh, Scotland. We arrived to a howling gale and buckets of rain, but we were impressed all the same. Our caravan park is on the Firth of Forth over looking Fyfe, try saying that after a few whiskeys.

Vistited Edinburgh Castle this morning, which was interesting, but our least favourite castle to date. Although Sammy was quite impressed when a girl tried to get into the castle wearing just her bikini and her tiara, but then again he is easily impressed.

After the castle we wandered down the Royal Mile and called in at Camera Obscura. Lots of fun, too much to tell you about here.

Tomorrow we are going to have a look at the Scotttish Seabird Centre on our way back down the coast heading towards London again. We are meeting my sister Toni in London and catching the ferry or the chunnel across to Calais, France on Sunday. There seems to be cheaper fares on Sunday nights, so that is good for us.

Try and get some more photos on here in the next couple of days.

Cheers,
Pauls

First day of clear(ish) weather

We are back in the vicinity of London, about 8 miles out at a place called Crystal Palace. The campground is fantastic, at £12 per night - which is a lot, lot less than we've been paying for hotels!

We think we might head for Salisbury and Stonehenge tomorrow, so we can do a some kilometers in the new van and put it thru its paces. If the cold weather persists we are going to head off to Spain in a week or so, once our registration and insurance documents arrive (we ended up buying from Downunder Insurance, after speaking to a Kiwi!)

We'll post some more photos soon, unfortunately we are at an Internet kiosk, rather than using our own gear from an Internet Cafe.

Oh, and we just rode on the London Eye, the view was awesome, and Paula really was all that nervous. Really.
