Hanging out in the highchair

Our busy busy life....

Life has been crazy busy lately!

Mieks is 3.5 but has the attitude of a 13 year old. We have had lots of door slamming, storming off, answering back and face pulling. Oh happy days. She is also totally gorgeous. This week has seen her find 2 imaginary friends - Amalia & Ziza. It is so funny that she has chosen the name Amalia, as that was one of the names we had short-listed for her, I don't think I have ever told her.

Mieks had her 3.5 year check up with the Maternal Health Nurse on Monday. According to the nurse Mieke is a "healthy, happy, delightful girl who breezed through her Brigance (Preschool Screen Test) 99% - no concerns." Mieksie is 98.5cm tall and weighs 14.9kg - average, average, average! She is off to 3 year old kinder next year and is really looking forward to it (me too!)

Jarvis is terrific, a really easy, happy baby. He is growing so quickly - way too quickly. He is now commando crawling and getting into all sorts of mischief. He loves opening and closing cupboard doors, something that never really interested Mieks. So far we have had a few jammed fingers and bumped heads, but nothing too dramatic. There are a couple of teeth poking through his gums, finally. I'm sure he has been teething since he was about 10 weeks old. Anyway, he got his 2 bottom teeth. The first one on 6 November and the next one on the 8th November. We had another check up with the Paediatric Orthopaedic $urgeon at the beginning of November and Jarvis got 2 thumbs up. His hips are looking fantastic and we don't have to go back until November next year. He is also doing lots of babbling. Lots of "Dad, dad, dad" & "ka" (his version of Mieke), but so far I have only heard "Mum" once.

Sam & I have been flat out with Little Sunshine's, we have our first market on Sunday. We have been rebottling, remixing, "cooking" and creating and quite frankly, we are about exhausted. Fingers crossed that the market goes well.

Anyway, heaps to do and not enough hours in the day,

Yay, catalogues!
