Now how do i get out of here?

Strapped down.....

Having a sleep at the new house. Mum tucked me in so tight I couldn't roll off the mattress. My cot was still on the truck.

Sound asleep in the travel cot

Commando Crawling

Chasing the dog at GAR's House

Wow, what a month

Sorry it has been so long since there has been a decent update, but life has been flat out.

Sam has taken up a job with Lihir Gold, based in Ballarat, he starts on 31 March. So we have been flat out packing up and cleaning our rental property in Richmond and moving into a rental in Ballarat. Of course our official moving days were last Thursday & Friday, both days reaching about 40 degrees. I felt so sorry for the removalists, what a job. They cleared out our place in Richmond by about lunchtime, then the cleaners came in and did their thing. Then when Sam came home from work, we loaded the car and drove to Ballarat. He caught the train back to Melbourne to work on Friday and I spent the day getting the new house sorted out. We spent Saturday unpacking boxes and headed back to Melbourne on Sunday to finish cleaning. Sam finished work yesterday and we got into Ballarat about 7pm last night. The traffic out of Melbourne was horrendous, we certainly won't miss that. It will take Sam about 5 minutes to drive to work now, instead of 40 minutes in the mornings and about an hour at night!

Well, that's our news, now for Mieke's news.

She is still gorgeous! I'm sure she learns something new everyday. One of her favourite pasttimes at the moment is to sing 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star', she does the finger movements and makes a singing noise. She has also started to crawl, although it is more of a commando crawl, rather than a tradtional crawl. She pulls both her knees up under herself and then flops down onto her belly. We have spent the 3 nights staying with my Aunty (GAR) and Mieke has spent the time chasing after their dog, it's been fun to watch.

Mieks still loves being in the bath and we are going to try an get her into some swimming lessons now that life is a bit simpler.

Mieke cheers and claps when we say "Go Saints", Fossil and Flossy are very proud. Poppy Frank is going to teach her all about soccer (the real football), but I'm not sure which team Poppy barracks for.

At her last Health Centre check, Mieks weighed about 8.3kg. She is now only about 6 weeks from her 1st Birthday, I can't believe how quickly this past year has gone.

Anyway, while she is asleep I might try and unpack some more boxes and get some washing done.

Hope you all have a good rest over Easter and may the Bunny be good to you.

Reading my favourite book.

This is my favourite book. It is 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' by Eric Carle. I read it almost everyday, but I keep sticking my fingers in the holes in the book and getting then stuck! Mum thinks it's hilarious. I don't find it quite that funny. Mieke.

Out for a walk with mum now its a bit cooler
