A busy weekend.....

Time flies, Jarvis is 8 weeks old already and Mieks will be 3 in about 6 weeks. I haven't done a proper update for such a long time I really don't know where to start......

On Friday night Sam & I went to see Catherine Deveny at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. She was hysterical. Feels like ages since I have laughed that hard. After the show we had a few drinks and headed to Chinatown for dinner. We ended up at Gingerboy and had an amazing meal; son-in-law eggs, salt and pepper chicken spare ribs and duck san choi bao, all delicious. Then a share dessert plate - steamed lemon grass pudding with white chocolate and chilli ice cream, raspberry and passionfruit ice cream with mint jelly, cinnamon sugared battered banana fritters with five spice ice cream, tofu cheesecake with pandan jelly, dried mandarin and vietnamese mint, steamed apple and vanilla buns with coconut custard . We were both so full we could hardly walk.

Saturday was a pretty slow day, Sammy had to head out for the afternoon so I managed to sneak in a Nana nap while both the kiddos were asleep.

On Sunday we went on the Steam Trains for Kids. The trains left Castlemaine station and took us to Muckleford Station. about a 20 minute trip. Once we arrived there were a few bits and pieces for the kids to do; a jumping castle, a pig train ride, face painting and a petting zoo. The train only stopped for 20 minutes, so Mieks didn't manage to get her face painted and she was devastated. So to calm her down we agreed to paint her face once we got home. So I painted her face as a tiger and then she painted mine - very attractive! But we had fun being ferocious tigers together.

Hope that everyone is well,
p-xx-
